Jenn Gilbert
My grandmother taught me to sew when I was around 11 years old. She got me started, teaching me the basics and instilling in me the the joy it is to create something from scratch, and over the years I have continued to learn many different aspects of the craft. My biggest sewing joy is quilting. I absolutely love being able to create something unique and special. When my kids were younger I did several sewing workshops for them and their friends. Teaching kids this craft and watching their creativity was so much fun. Last year I finnally found the time to start Jenn's Sew Studio as an opportunity to provide sewing lessons to people of all ages. I am married to Cody, and have two children, Stephen and Leigha, and two fur babies, Tex and Callie.

Enthusiastically sewing since around age 11 or 12 when my mother taught me the basics & then further developing my skills through 4-H sewing classes. Initially sewing clothing, I later expanded into home decor & quilting. I also learned more needlework from my mother such as knitting, cross stitch, needlepoint & eventually smocking as well as crocheting. I love the art of creating & feel such a sense of pride & gratification upon completion. I am a native North Carolinian, proud mother of a son & daughter who are both married & am thrilled to soon welcome my first grandbaby. Additionally I have two Cavalier fur babies.
